Although not a studio scale model, and certainly not screen accurate, I thought this project might still be of interest, as we all probably owned this MPC model kit, at one time or another, back in the 70’s and if you are like me, it brings back great memories of these first model kits that sparked our passion for this hobby those many years ago. I did very little modification to the kit in order to present it as it was in the 70’s, flaws and all! I built a launch pad out plastic and used some old kit parts from discarded model kits to add mechanical details to the pad. This was an enjoyable project and a nice walk down memory lane!
