Pierre Drolet’s – Star Trek Into Darkness Concept Klingon Bird of Prey by Dave Olszewski

Pierre’s designs are amazing…. and Dave’s build skills are fantastic! And… I agree about this design… it should have been utilized in ST:ID. I would like to see this as a large build, perhaps to scale with the Star Trek III Bird of Prey Studio Model.

This is a model of a bird of prey concept that Pierre Drolet created for Star Trek Into Darkness. Ultimately, this concept wasn’t used; but, so many people liked it that Pierre finished the CGI model, and had master mold maker Kip Hart produce it as a kit. I picked up one of these at last year’s Wonderfest, built it, entered it in this year’s Wonderfest show. I really wish they had used this concept (instead of what they ended up using) for the BOP in ST – Into Darkness…
