The probe droid was painstakingly recreated using all original model kit parts just as all SS accurate models are. I acquired the model from Motero. (He did a fantastic job on the build and paint). I wasn’t happy with the support system and display, so I went to work rebuilding the inside support which is a steel rod encased In a resin core. I could now mount the model in a much sturdier fashion on the heavy duty Panavise stand. I built the base as seen in the photos and was planning on putting an acrylic case over the display to keep the snow in its *(pristine blinding white condition) * . I decided to not add the case expense to a potential buyer as the shipping on the case was as much as the case itself. The approximate model dims are 11”w X 22”t. The base measures 18”x18”, and can accept an acrylic case of 17.5 x 17.5 x 28. This model is a diamond in the ruff. Maybe a handful of these have been built utilizing original kit parts. Make no mistake! This was not built from a resin kit. It is a stunning piece. This piece is beyond limited. If I did not have another P.D. in my collection, I would not be selling it. I was really torn on which one to sell. For someone who loves the Probe Droid, it doesn’t get any better.
