Cylon ingenuity (although no one at the time realized it) and Colonial determination led to the creation of the most advance space superiority interceptor ever: the Colonial “Blackbird” Stealth Viper.
Built by Galactica’s Chief Galen Tyrol literally from a pile of spare parts, the Blackbird is the only fighter to ever successfully penetrate – undetected – to the core of the Cylon fleet. Once there, it played a key role in the destruction of the Cylon resurrection ship, tipping the scales back in favor of the rag-tag fleet and giving the remnants of Humanity a fighting chance.
And now QMx’s Artisan program brings you the only fully licensed and authorized studio-scale replica of this amazing ship: the Blackbird Artisan Replica, House Edition*.

Limited to just 40 units, the House Edition Blackbird, like all our Artisan replicas, will be built to order with the same exacting attention to detail and authenticity you’ve come to expect from the QMx Artisan line. Your handcrafted Blackbird will be 100 percent made in the U.S.A by trained Hollywood model-effects experts. This is not a mass-produced, high-end toy manufactured overseas. This is a professional film-quality miniature, built to the same standards demanded by visual-effects animators.
The Blackbird measures 13″ x 6.75″ x 3.25″ and is comprised of more than 120 resin, acrylic, styrene and brass components. All 40 replicas come with a brass and aluminum numbered plaque signed by actor Aaron Douglas, who played Chief Tyrol on Battlestar Galactica.

In addition, for the first time ever, we are including a laser-etched display case measuring 16.5″ x 9.5″ x 5.25″, complete with a diorama base, an equipment crane and two diagnostic stations.

*What’s a House Edition?We love to make cool stuff so much, we sometimes make cool stuff just for ourselves — never mind how obscure the design is. That’s what happens when you have a company full of crazy designer types: Amazing design work happens, sometimes without regard for whether or not there’s a market for that design.

We call these exclusive replicas House Editions, because they are generally only available to our in-house staff and Hollywood VIPs.

Thanks to the build-to-order flexibility of our Artisan program, we can offer these awesomely unique replicas in very limited edition sizes.

House Editions are our rarest of rare replicas, offered in editions of under 100 (and usually in editions of under 50). We won’t offer these often, but when we do, you can rest assured they’ll be something truly special and unexpected.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR BUILD-TO-ORDER
BLACKBIRD REPLICA
Depending on the current backlog, customers can expect orders to take up to 90 days to be fulfilled once the build-up of their replica begins. The speed with which your build-up will start will depend on the number of customers ahead of you in the build queue.

If you take advantage of our eLawaway installment plan, your replica will not enter the build queue until after the final payment is made. You will be notified via e-mail when work begins.Please note that the eLayaway installment plan is currently only available to customers with U.S.-based bank accounts. If you don’t already have an eLayaway account, please have your bank account and routing number available when you check out so you can set up your installment account.


Edition numbers will be issued based on when orders are placed. As a result, someone who pays in full using a credit card before someone who pays in full using eLawaway may get their replica first, even though the customer using eLayaway has a lower edition number.

All orders include mandatory insurance already factored into the shipping charge. QMx is not responsible for any tariffs or import fees levied on international shipments. We highly recommend our international customers factor in any local customs fees that might be applied at the product’s destination.
