This is a commission build I’ve done of the Bandai perfect grade 1/72 scale Millennium Falcon.

All the lighting is custom.

Around 40 LEDs used in all, from 0402 SMD to 3mm LEDs and a LED strip. A good amount of fiber optic was used as well for the cockpit console, gunner port and underside caution lighting.

Paints used were Tamiya acrylics, Tamiya weathering pastels, and AK Interactive weathering pencils. Ramp corridor, R2-D2 and C-3PO are 3D prints from Shapeways. Rear cockpit wall and caution light housings were done using photo etch from Green Strawberry. I installed a 9v RF wireless receiver for use with a RF remote control to turn on and off the lighting . This eliminated the need for a power button or switch on the model itself.
