The Falcon is the 2014 Hasbro “toy” Which measures 72cm in length, she was taken apart, given several coats of light blocking, then a set of custom Lighting was installed, The model features blue, red, Cool white and Warm white L.E.Ds throughout.
The engine strip was completely removed and replaced by clear perspex, the original Hasbro sticker was applied to outer side with several blue leds in a custom made “engine” box
The lights were installed as per a layout plan I found on the internet. The cockpit had its molded in windows removed and clear ones fitted, the rear wall graphic of the cockpit was added to add the illusion there is a fully functioning cockpit inside.
The outside was given several coats of paint (Black/silver) for light blocking, then an off white base coat was applied. Reference pictures were used to maintain accuracy for the battle damage which was actually “melted” into the hull. Once this was completed the model was given several acrylic coats and finally finished with weathering powders.
