The USS Constellation has always stuck in my mind. The Planet Killer nearly destroyer her, and was eventually destroyed by her. The wreckage we saw in the original series was a simple AMT Model kit. When the HD version came out, the digital model makers for that series really upped what we viewed of this Starship. The twisted metal girders, and sparks… along with open voids of saucer section that leave a chill on my skin ever time I view it. Artist Paul Craggs captured those HD moments greatly in his own 3D printed work of art you see here, along with Paul’s wife in the photos for scale… (or the second model in the photos… heh heh). 😉 The Starship is even sitting on a tilt… as it should be. Beautifully completed.
